Kendra Godfrey, LMFT
I am a Certified Play Therapist with a deep passion for supporting children and teens, ages 3 to 18.
My approach is grounded in Child-Centered Play Therapy and the Gestalt-Violet Oaklander Method, both of which honor the unique nature of young people.
Over the years, I’ve had the honor of working with children and families through internships at Jewish Family & Children’s Services in Long Beach, the CSULB Community Counseling Center, and The Maple Counseling Center in Beverly Hills. Additionally, I worked as a pediatric therapist at a community health clinic in West Los Angeles.
I’ve also supported children in schools throughout Long Beach, Compton, Santa Monica, and Beverly Hills—experiences that have given me a rich understanding of the diverse needs of youth and their families.
I take pride in providing a safe and supportive space for young people to express, explore, and heal through expressive means.
I offer children and adolescents a place to navigate challenges such as anxiety, trauma, ADHD, life transitions, and more—while strengthening connection within the family.
I look forward to supporting you and your child!
